活动简介 | Event Brief

教育公平是社会公平的重要基础，接受公平而有质量的教育是每个孩子的应有权利和人生福祉。十九大报告明确指出，要努力让每个孩子都能享有公平而有质量的教育。但迄今为止，农村教育依然是国民教育体系中最薄弱环节，城乡教育差距依然存在。实现中国教育公平的根本问题何在？近亿中国乡村儿童的未来前景又将如何？

7月20日，“2018哥大中国之夏”·教育主题周将举办专题论坛：中国教育公平与农村教育前景。北京大学法学院和政府管理学院教授张千帆、知名作家春桃将做客哥大全球中心 | 北京，展开对实现中国教育公平和农村义务教育的思考与讨论。

On July 20, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing invites you to a panel discussion on Educational Equity in China and Education in Rural Areas, featuring Professor Qianfan Zhang from Peking University and Ms. Chuntao Wu. The goal of this panel is to explore and propose feasible programs that enable hundreds of millions of children to share high-quality education resources and to change their destiny through knowledge.
